What?

To you, to me, to most people on the planet......

....it's a big mound of dirt next to a pond.

Or is it?

To a Great Crested Newt it's a luxury place to live. Known in the Great Crested Newt world as an 'Amphibian Hibernacula'. And not just one of them, we've put 2 near our pond on the advice of a recent ecological surey done for Lower Hall.

We're not 100% sure that we've got Great Crested Newts but there were signs of them found - enough for us to want to encourage them if there's any chance we have got them and/or can invite them.

On the same day that the 'road map' for lifting the third set of Covid restrictions, we've got tremendous blue skies here and, if you look carefully (see below), an arrow of geese flying overhead. Or to give them their proper name - a kein, team, or wedge of geese. Bring on the spring and summer!!!!!
